1941 Plymouth Project car

This is a post about a 1941 Plymouth street rod project car. Techniques using Picard metal working and bumping tools will be used trouhout the build.. Post will include product reviews and features plus visits to shows and events relevant to creative metal work. Work will include some minor bumping to repair dings and dents from over thirty years of storage. Plus fabrication of major body components from scratch. This will include forging hands to hold the front nerf bars and smooth compound curved running boards.

Project Car Specs

Follow the  build of this 1941 Plymouth Project car using Picard metal working tools. The base car has a Mopar 440 attached to a A-833 four speed. the rear is aFford 9" spinning 4:56 to 1 gear ratio hung by a coil over shock with a 4 link. The front has a 1985 Corvette sub with mono leaf fiberglass spring, aluminum control arms and a corvette rack and pinion. The build will include bumping the body straight. Fabricating smooth compound curve running boards, hood vents and custom dash and interior elements. The front will have two forged iron hands holding Picard Stakes as nerf bars.
